Position Overview

Based in Ankeny, the Staff  Accountant II has responsibility for supporting the North America Finance Department in all aspects of the financial administration of the North American (US and Canada) Market.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end financial reporting
  • Preparation of journal entries for month-end and year-end close
  • Preparation of account reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Preparation of monthly financial analysis and reports
  • General bookkeeping
  • Assist with audit preparation and coordination
  • Assist with preparation of monthly forecasts
  • Assist with preparation of annual budget
  • Assist with monthly segment report preparation and validation
  • Assist with monthly MD&A report preparation and validation
  • Assist with monthly Earn & Turn report preparation and validation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

  • 4-year BS degree in accounting
  • 2-3 years of audit/corporate accounting experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal English
  • Strong ability to multi-task, organize, and manage own workload
  • Self-starter and willingness to learn various aspects of Albaugh business
  • Must have a keen eye for accuracy and ability to work in a detailed manner
  • Experience with manufacturing operations desirable but not essential
  • Proficient in Excel
