Chemical Engineering Internship

Position Overview

This full-time internship in the Summer of 2026 offers the opportunity to gain experience at Albaugh’s manufacturing facility in St. Joseph, Mo.  The Chemical Engineer internship will include but is not limited to:

• Work on process optimization and production improvement projects
• Assist in maintenance planning and troubleshooting technical issues
• Work within departments on equipment calibration and testing procedures
• Collaborate Project: initial planning, data collection & analysis, design & development, testing and validation, and final presentation
• Other duties as assigned.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Strong interest in chemical work and manufacturing processes
• Conscientious and responsible demeanor
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
• Available to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship
• Hands on experience 

The Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college degree program focusing on an Engineer related field
• 18 years or older
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and perform basic math.
