Position Overview
Reporting to the Controls Engineer Supervisor, the Electrician will:
- Safely ensure production machinery and building equipment are maintained in a safe operating condition to prevent interrupted production.
- Construct, test, maintain, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, and mechanical equipment/control systems.
- Construct, test, maintain, and repair electrical/electronic equipment, instruments, control systems, motor controls, lighting, and branch circuits.
- Consult manuals, schematics, drawings, and operating personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and to determine optimum equipment functioning.
- Welding for repair and fabrication.
- Prepare and maintain records detailing tests, repairs, requests, and preventive maintenance.
- Repair, replace, and clean equipment and components.
- Assist with training on proper installation and troubleshooting techniques for maintenance staff.
- Troubleshooting. Determine causes of operating errors and course of action to reach resolution.
- Understand/Interpret National Electrical Codes. Ability to size wiring and wireways for new installations or modification of existing installations.
- Understand/Interpret NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace and PPE requirements.
- Understand/Interpret PLC ladder logic and field wiring (Allen Bradley, ABB).
- Understand programming and operation of variable frequency drives (Allen Bradley, Yaskawa, Telemechanique, Pumpsmart, and ABB).
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety inspections.
- Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Always ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and one’s co-workers without exception.
- Shows up on time, reliably completes tasks by the deadline, and adapts to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision.
- Works well with others to meet team goals and adjust to significant changes.
- Active, physical role that includes operating a forklift.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training preferred
- Willingness to work overtime to support a continuous operation as needed to meet business obligations.
- Strong commitment to safety
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Manufacturing experience is preferable
