Position Overview
The Laboratory technician is responsible for receiving, testing, analyzing, recording and reporting results of scientific testing. Responsibilities include but is not limited to:
- Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested
- Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report
- Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results
- Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results
- Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample
- Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment
- Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs
- Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field
- Sample and test materials for quality control and quality assurance.
- Conduct chemical testing procedures while monitoring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Analyze statistical data to identify trends and improve processes.
- Assist in laboratory technical analyses for chemical production
- Support the laboratories in daily operations.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory tests and results.
- Always follow all laboratory safety policies and standard operating procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out raw material incoming inspection, intermediates, in process samples, final products and environment samples testing according to testing schedule.
- Follow lab SOPs and guidance to provide accurate analytical data to products, intermediates, in-process samples, raw materials and environment samples.
- Implement quality release in system as quality release specifications.
- Record and save analytical data in place as lab SOP's requirements.
- Timely record and report any deviation, abnormal and unqualified findings to find root cause and solutions.
- Carry out routine maintenance, calibrations and simple troubleshooting on lab instruments.
The Qualifications
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a Science related field preferred
- 18 years or older
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and perform basic math.
