Summary

 Under direction of the Production Manager, the F&I Manager is responsible for providing leadership to attain optimum performance in safety, quality, and productivity in the F&I Formulation plant.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Train, coach, and evaluate supervisory and hourly personnel, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and ensure efficient utilization of equipment and facilities.
  • Drive a strong housekeeping and safety culture with employees.
  • Supervise and confer with supervisor to lead efforts to manage S.O.Ps and training protocol to develop skilled and knowledgeable employees.
  • Responsible for creating a safe working environment, ensuring implementation of plant safety policies, procedures, and programs adhering to requirements under EPA, DOT, OSHA and other regulatory standards.
  • Personally lead safety improvement efforts in the plant to achieve 100% compliance in all leading safety indicators and attain plant safety performance goals.
  • Adhere to budgetary limitations for all areas when purchasing decisions are necessary.
  • Supervise hourly employees, supervisors, and administrative personnel.
  • Ability to interpret results of testing and processes for accuracy, reasonableness, compliance with specifications, etc. and to perform simple problem-solving tasks and troubleshooting.

Education

  • B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in chemical process design, process monitoring, and/or mechanical process operations.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in verifiable leadership; leading and influencing teams.
  • Experience in process automation and implementation of automation projects.
