Quality, Health, Safety, & Environmental Internship

Position Overview

This full-time internship in the Summer of 2026 offers the opportunity to gain experience in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) at Albaugh’s manufacturing facility in St. Joseph, Mo. This role will have an emphasis on supporting QHSE projects, audits and other duties. This is an excellent opportunity for the practical application in preparation for a career in QHSE.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Gain insight into all areas of QHSE supporting the following areas.

• Participate in audits and safety inspections within the facility.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of health and safety programs.
• Coordinate with the lab intern on maintaining quality standards and compliance.

The Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety or a related field in progress.
• Desire for a long-term career in Safety after completing degree.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze data to support initiatives.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct, ensuring confidentiality, fairness, and integrity in all HR practices.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
