Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition and Learning Management Specialist leads recruitment and Learning Management System (LMS) administration across North America. This role supports workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, compliance training, and employee development while partnering with hiring managers and HR leadership to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing workforce.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for professional, technical, skilled trades, and manufacturing positions.
  • Partner with HR leadership to understand workforce needs, position requirements, and hiring timelines.
  • Develop and maintain accurate job descriptions and job postings.
  • Develop sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, networking events, educational partnerships, employee referrals, and passive candidate outreach.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, coordinate interviews, facilitate candidate evaluations, and maintain candidate communication throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate required pre-employment processes, including background checks, drug screens, physicals, employment verifications, and reference checks.
  • Monitor and report recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate pipeline activity, and hiring effectiveness.
  • Support employer branding initiatives and participate in job fairs, career events, and community outreach programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws throughout the hiring process.

Learning Management & Employee Development

  • Administer the organization's Learning Management System (LMS) and training records.
  • Maintain LMS records, training assignments, certifications, compliance documentation, reporting, and required training completion.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding training programs.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and development opportunities.
  • Schedule and coordinate instructor-led, virtual, and online training programs.
  • Assist in developing career development pathways and succession planning initiatives.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through employee feedback, completion data, and performance outcomes.
  • Support the implementation of new learning technologies, content, and training processes.

HR Support

  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding recruitment and learning programs.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, organizational development, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and support HR projects, audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Promote company culture, values, and employee development opportunities.

The Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, HR generalist, learning and development, or a related HR field.
  • Experience with Success Factors, Learning Management Systems, or similar HR technology platforms preferred.
  • Experience recruiting within high-volume manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments preferred.
  • Experience creating HR content preferred.

Preferred Experience

· 1-3 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, HR generalist, learning and development, or a related HR field.
